The Library of Birmingham is made up of only 3 pieces, two of which however are extremely tricky to cut out.
As you can see from the close up images, I have carefully cut round every curve. This creates subtle curves shadows similar to the actual building. The bottom portion has also been raised higher, giving the image a greater sense of depth.
Earlier editions of this piece were much more simple, with the circular cladding stylised to a basic form. However I have created this piece as acurately as possible by include every single ring.
