Chamberlain Clock is a symbol recognised by all who live and work in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter. Erected in 1903 to mark Joseph Chamberlain’s tour of South Africa during the Second Boer War, it still stands proud and fully works to this day.
The Jewellery Quarter is world famous for the production of jewellery, buttons, watches and other high valued products. The decoration of jewels, pendants and hearts represent what is produced in the JQ and the loving feeling to receive a gift. French inks have been applied with a fine brush to produce vivid colours. The hearts, pendants and jewels are also hand cut and raised to bring the piece to life.
