Braeside is the first home commission created at an A3 dimension, and this allowed me to include a greater level detail and accuracy than ever before.
The number of pieces that go into making a picture seems to be increasing with every commission.

The difficulty in this piece was recreating them level of depth.  We have two levels of slanting roof, bay windows, shrubbery and a front wall.  Overall there are 5 layers to this picture.

The house fits perfectly within the mount, and at this scale I was able to draw every brick, including the pattern/formation they are set.  Scaled up slightly, the two lions on the front wall are great little characters.  There is always some feature that makes every home special.
